Betty Jean Pack, age 71, of Smithville passed away Thursday morning, April 10, 2025, at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital, ER.
Betty was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Baptist Church and worked at Texas Boot and Tenneco.
She was born May 5, 1953, to her parents the late Henry Hobert and Ruby Elizabeth Thomas Hale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie (PeeWee) Pack; sister, Clara (Phillip) Wilkey, brother, Leroy (Penny) Hale; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Hale, Candy Hale, Sharon Pack and Pam Pack; nephews: John Keith Hale and Anthony Hale.
She is survived by sons, Donald Pack and Christopher Thomas Pack; grandchildren, Ashley, Donald and Doranda Pack, Aubree Bruno; four great-grandchildren; brothers: Steve (Linda) Hale, Thomas Hale, John Hale, Charlie (Ellen) Hale; sister, Pauline Crook; several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Funeral service was held Sunday, April 13, 2025 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial followed in Peeled Chestnut Cemetery.
DeKalb Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
