Funeral services for Billie Joyce Taylor, 79, of Smithville, were held Feb. 19 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Ronnie Smith officiated with burial following at Mt. Holly Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor passed away Feb. 17 at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith, a former cashier with H.G. Hill Food Store and a former factory worker at Texas Boot.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Robert “Bob” Taylor; a son Timmy Taylor; an infant son Josh Taylor; parents Joseph and Lola Mae Hendrixson Green.
Survivors include her two daughters Sherrie Sue (Ron) Merriman of Huntsville, Ala., and Bobbie (Phillip) Clayton of Smithville; a son Ronnie Lynn (Renee) Taylor of Smyrna; seven grandchildren Chad and Tavia Keith of Smithville, Scott (Nicole) Clayton of Cookeville, Chrissy Clayton Means of Cookeville, Ryan (Magen) Clayton of Milton, Anna Taylor (Daniel) Flatt of Smyrna and Tara Taylor of Smyrna; six great-grandchildren Kaleb, Brady, Seth, Dakota, Ariana and Addyson; brother and sister Wallace Green of Virginia and Johannie Agee Taylor of Liberty.
Pallbearers included Chad Keith, Mark Taylor, Brady Gill, Ryan, Scott and Kaleb Clayton.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
