Bobby Monroe Luna, age 79, of Sparta passed away Sunday November 10, 2024, at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville. 

He was a contractor, served in the National Guard and attended Corinth Church of Christ.

He was born May 1, 1945, to his parents, the late Rube and Rubie Johnson Luna.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Pat Luna; brother, Gene Luna; and nephew, Eric Luna. 

Survivors include wife, Linda of Sparta; special nephew, Carlton Luna of Arkansas; his best friend, Alice; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service was held Thursday, November 14, 2024, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Robin Phillips officiating and a private burial will be held at a later date. 

The family asked that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Luna. 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
