Bradley Dewayne Taylor, a skilled maintenance mechanic and devoted family man, passed away on December 4th 2024 at the age of 39 at Ascension St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. He was a Christian and member of Mt. Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church. His life was defined by his hard work, love for his family, and unwavering determination to be a better person.  Though his passing leaves a deep void, his memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Bradley was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandparents, Joe Allen and Joe Dean Moore; his paternal grandparents, E J and Edna Taylor; and his father, Kenneth Wayne Taylor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amber Taylor; cherished son, Braxton Taylor; stepson Eric Smith, all of Smithville; mother and stepfather, Brenda and Michael Kingsbury of Smithville; Bradley also leaves behind his siblings, Billy Wayne (Marnie) Taylor, Glenda (John) Stibil, Linda(Jeff) Williams, Brandon (Shayna) Taylor, all of Smithville and Shannon(Ashley) Lepley of Cottontown, TN, and stepbrother, Jesse Kingsbury of Smithville, all of whom hold dear countless memories of love and laughter shared over the years.

Bradley’s legacy lives on in his many nieces and nephews, including Allison Taylor, Crystal Stibil, Leslie Stibil, Savannah Stibil, Kayla Bowen, Michael Williams, Jacob Williams, Caleb Taylor, Caley Taylor, Aubree Taylor, Madison Taylor, Cameron Lepley and Ashton Lepley. Each of them will carry his memory in their hearts. He also has a host aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral service was conducted Monday, December 9, 2024 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Bernard Houk and Michael Hale officiating. Burial followed in DeKalb Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers included Braxton Taylor, Kobe Roller, Richard Teachout, Riley Bullard, Hugh Eaton, and Andy Malone. Honorary Pallbearers were Nathan Armour, Jacob Bowen and Kyle Morton.
