Brenda Clayton Trapp, age 76, of the Snow Hill Community, passed away Wednesday morning, August 9, 2017 at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta. 

 

 

 

She was born August 23, 1940 to her parents, the late Floyd Clayton and Edith Davis Clayton Seals. 

 

 

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Roy Seals; husband, Donald Trapp; one great-grandson; one sister, Rebecca Clayton Pedigo.  Brenda was a member of the Snow Hill United Methodist Church and a retired factory worker.  

 

 

 

She leaves to cherish her memory: seven children, Steve Trapp, Barry (Cheryl) Trapp, Teresa (Scott) Brown and Cindy Twilla (John Allen), all of Smithville, Judy (Robert) Underwood of Murfreesboro, Molly Trapp of Smyrna and Clarence (Diane) Trapp of Dowelltown; 15 grandchildren, Steve Trapp, Jr., Stephanie Nash, Ginger Trapp, Brian Trapp, Justin Trapp, Brad Trapp, Kevin Twilla, Kelli Davis, Alex Underwood, Darren Crawford, Lindsey Stillwell, Hailey Thweatt, Amber Clayborn, Anna Trapp Dillard and Allyson Trapp; 26 great-grandchildren; one sister, Debra (Tony) Miller of GA; two brothers, Kenneth (Ellen) Clayton of Smithville and Perry (Dana) Clayton of Crossville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. 

 

 

 

Funeral services celebrating Brenda's life were held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Clayton, Rev. Kevin Twilla and Bro. Perry Clayton officiating and burial followed in Snow Hill Methodist Church Cemetery

 

 

 

During her time at Life Care, she met and developed a special friendship with Sharon Hall, with whom we give special honor. 

 

 

 

Pallbearers included Steve Trapp, Jr., Brian Trapp, Brad Trapp, Kevin Twilla, Alex Underwood, Darren Crawford, Justin Trapp

 

 

 

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Ms. Brenda's granddaughters.

 

 

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, TN was in charge of the arrangements.
