Funeral services for Janice Nicole Butler, 59, of Alexandria were held May 28 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

 

Bro. Burns Lyons and Bro. Charlie West officiated with burial following in Dowell Cemetery in Alexandria.

 

She passed away May 24 at DeKalb Community Hospital.

 

She was affiliated with Northside Church of Christ, employed at Three Forks Market in Watertown.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Rutland; brother, Ernest Rutland.

 

She is survived by her mother, Betty Beasley Martin of Alexandria; two nephews, Jermaine McCoy of Smithville, and Ernest Rutland Jr. of Nashville; great niece and two great nephews, Azya McCoy, Antwon McCoy and Deshown Reeder all of Smithville; two uncles, James and Kenneth Beasley of AZ; three aunts, Mayrene Bates of CA, JoAnn Floyd of PA, Jeanette League; two special friends, Gwendalyn League, and Billie Ann Tubbs all of Smithville; sister-in-law, Shirley Rutland of Nashville; dear friend, Jackie Jones of Nashville; host of cousins and friends also survive.

 

Pallbearers included; Jermaine McCoy, Wade Smith, Steve Officer, Fred Searcy, Lee Fisk, and James Hayes.

 

Flower girls; Ava Lyons, Annette Evans, Cathy Officer, Dorothy Hayes, Jackie Smith, and Vickie Gwyn.

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville was in charge of the arrangements
