Cripps

 

Dr. Gary Wilson Cripps, 69, of Smithville passed away August 13 at DeKalb Community Hospital.

 

He was a retired Pharmacist of Cripps-France Pharmacy, and affliated with the Methodist Church.

 

He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and taught at the UT Pharmacy School. He was a member of the American Pharmacist Association, University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy Alumni Association and the Tennessee Pharmacist Associations.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Frances Grizzle Cripps; brother, Wayne Grizzle Cripps.

 

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan Young Cripps of Smithville; three children, Marcy Frances Cripps of Smithville, Susannah Cripps Daughtry (Blake) of Alabama, and Molly Rebecca Cripps of Nashville; four grandchildren, Elizabeth "Libby" Hufham, Katherine "Kate" Hufham, Wallace Daughtry and Jon "Jeb" Daughtry all of Alabama; one brother, Hugh Don (Rita) Cripps of Smithville; sister-in-law, Marsha (Dr. David Darrah) of Smithville; nieces and nephews, Rachael Cripps McCarter of Cookeville; Martha Cripps Cooper of Smithville, Sarah Cripps, Greg Cripps, Jason Cripps, and Ashby Cripps Woodward all of Smithville, Justin Cripps of Sparta, Jane Darrah Ramsey and Kate Darrah Miller both of Smithville; many cousins also survive.
