Daniel "Danny" McGuire, age 67, of Smithville passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Centennial Medical Center.

Mr. McGuire was a member of Outreach Baptist Church, he worked as a truck driver, and was a member of OOIDA Truckers Association.

He was born January 10, 1955, to his parents the late Dan and Velma Estep McGuire. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Della and Sam McGuire and Hobart and Elizabeth Estep; great niece, Brittney Barnes.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou McGuire of Smithville; daughters, April Johnson of McMinnville and Angela Magnuson of Smithville; step-daughters, Stephanie Long of McMinnville and Amber Dishman of Smithville; 16 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Peggy (Brownie) Barnes of Smithville; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Dustin Clouse and Lois Long. 

Funeral service was held Sunday, February 6, 2022, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Nathan Thomason officiating. Burial followed in DeKalb Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Dustin Clouse, Wayne Pack, Gary Caplinger, Brandon Barnes, Jeff Barnes, and Darrin Barnes.

Donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, in memory of Danny. 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
