Debra Lynn Bain, age 61, of Smithville passed away Thursday morning August 22, 2024 after a short illness. 

She was born December 23, 1962 to her parents, the late George Johnson, Sr. and Nell Johnson Keaton.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Bain; son, Kenny Bain, Jr.; daughter, Stacey Powell; brother, George Johnson, Jr. 

Debra was a Baptist and worked as a medical assistant at Family Medical Center. 

She is survived by a daughter, Nelda (Terry) Raibley of Indiana; grandchildren, Jacob Bandy, Tanisha (Ronnie) Gutierrez, Briana (Austin) Ellis, Gavin Bain, Braxton Bain and Dayne Powell; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Noah Bandy, Ale and Isaiah Gutierrez and Dallas Ellis; two sisters, Janie Johnson and Teresa Johnson, both of Walling. 

Funeral service was held Saturday, August 24, 2024, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial followed in DeKalb Cemetery. 

Pallbearers were Austin Ellis, Ronnie Gutierrez, Jacob Bandy, Braxton Bain, Brian Pack, and Terry Raibley.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangement.
