Doris Marie Keaton, age 82, of Smithville passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 at NHC Healthcare in Smithville.
Ms. Doris was a Baptist and enjoyed attending the Smithville Church of the Nazarene and worked at the shirt factory in Alexandria for many years.
She was born December 26, 1938 to her parents, the late Howard Edgar and Johnnie Irene Malone Clayborn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Bob and Willie Malone, William and Nancy Clayborn.
She leaves to cherish her memory five daughters, Teresa (Edwin) Bogle of Alexandria, Pam Curtis (Tommy) of Smithville, Carol (Lloyd) Holloway of Oak Ridge, Vickie (Jimmy) Woods of Alexandria, and Renee (Bobby) Hale of Liberty; seven grandchildren, Casey (Joey) Agee, Dustin (Brittany) Bogle, Jodi (Nick) Lester, Brandi (Heath) Womack, Tyler (Ashley) Woods, Bobby Lee (Ciara) Hale and Thomas (Keshia) Hale; 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday, October 23, 2021 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Bobby Lee Hale and Thomas Hale officiating. Burial followed in Salem Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Dustin Bogle, Tyler Woods, Bobby Lee, Thomas Hale, Heath Womack, Joey Agee, and Nick Lester.
Honorary Pallbearers included Casey Agee, Jodi Lester, and Brandi Womack.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
