Funeral services for Frances Allen Caplinger, 92, of Smithville were held March 24 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Mark Miller officiated with burial following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Caplinger passed away on the morning of March 22 at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville. She was a retired x-ray technician and member of Faith Congregational Methodist Church in Dowelltown.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Caplinger; parents Alvie and Ollle Page Allen; sister Grace Allen Oakley; brother Jack Allen; niece Ann Oakley; and nephews Joe Oakley and Doyle Caplinger.
Survivors include her nephews Jimmy (Hilda) Oakley of Liberty, Louie (Vivian) Oakley of Alexandria; nieces Frankie (Jack) Watkins of North Carolina, Joyce (Gary) Howell of Georgia; and special friends Johnny and Linda Ball and Ione Keith.
Pallbearers included Charles Caplinger, John Farmer, Johnny Ball, Robert Oaks, Alex Keith and Clark Oakley.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville,  was in charge of the arrangements.
