Funeral services for Frank Cantrell, 78, of Dowelltown, were held Jan. 25 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Robert Presley and Bro. Michael Hale officiated with burial following in Burton-Ponder Cemetery.
Mr. Cantrell passed away Jan. 23 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. He was a member of People’s Pentecostal Church, the Masons and the Liberty Lodge #77. He worked in the shoe factory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Beulah Ponder Cantrell; a son, Danny Cantrell; a granddaughter, Stephanie Cantrell; brothers, Lawrence and Bill Cantrell; and a sister, Nell Conley.
Survivors include his wife, Neodia Cantrell of Dowelltown; a son, Dwight (Carol) Cantrell of Pikeville; a step-son, Donald (Tammy) Cantrell of Dowelltown; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Ruth Prinzivalli and Ruby Ballard, both of Smithville; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Chase Cantrell, Bryan Cantrell, Caleb Shehane, Jonathan Flatt, Edward Cantrell and Lawrence Cantrell.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
