Freeman Lee Brown, age 71, of Smithville, passed away Thursday May 28, 2020 at his residence.
He was born August 3, 1948 to his parents, the late Enoch Brown and Nannie Brown Goolsby.
Mr. Freeman was a carpenter, nurseryman and a Baptist.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-father Sam Goolsby; wife, Linda Brown; daughter, Michelle Downing; son-in-law, Roy Colburn; brothers, J.B. Brown, Willard Brown; sister, Ann Ramsey.
A graveside service was be held Saturday May 30, 2020 at DeKalb Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hale officiating.
Survivors include children, Anna Colburn, Jason (Stephanie) Brown both of Smithville; son-in-law, Robert Downing of Lady Lake, FL.; grandchildren, Bradley Colburn, Erika Brown, Robert Downing, Jr., Brady Colburn; sisters, Emma Chaffin, Janie Shoemake, Betty Bryant, Bobby Ledbetter all of Cookeville, Jewel Bilbrey of Algood; Several nieces and nephews also survived.

Serving as pallbearers were Brady Colburn, Bradley Colburn, Jacob Moore, Dustin Brown, JW Brown, Levi Walker and David Amberson.
