Georgia Hawker, age 88, of Dowelltown died Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Waters at Winchester.

She was a seamstress at Designs by Norvell.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Owen and Ethel Ballinger; her husband Jr. Hawker; son Randy Hawker; brothers, Edwin Owen and Donald Owens; and a sister Carlyne Dickey.

Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Hinson; grandsons, Cole and Kelsey Hawker and Clint Hawker; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Nathan Hale officiated and burial followed in Salem Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Jimmy Midgett, David Owens, Cole Hawker, Clint Hawker, Kenny Edge and Jimmy Midgett.

Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria, was in charge of the arrangements.
