Funeral services for Glenn Loyd Cantrell, 54, of Smithville, were held March 31 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Nick Pelham officiated with burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cantrell passed away March 29 at Centennial Medical Center. He was a retired truck driver from Darrell Bryan Trucking and Kent’s Texaco Service Station, served in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gentry Gregory Cantrell; paternal grandparents, Horace and Euna Cantrell; and maternal grandparents, Earl Gary and Bonnie Gay Flatt.
Survivors include his son, Chris Cantrell of Smithville; mother, Jean Gay Cantrell of Smithville; two sisters, Eunice and Rick Ramsey of Alexandria and Melissa and Melvin Ray of Smithville; a brother, Jerry and Patty Cantrell of Smithville; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Adam Warden, Rick Ramsey, Tad Webb, Melvin Ray, Jodie Lassiter and Stephen Daniels.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
