Mrs. Grace Ike Womack Parker, age 96 of Sparta, formerly of Dibrell, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Life Care Center of Sparta.

She was born April 23, 1922 in McMinnville to the late William Amos & George Annie Saunders Parker.

She had a work career that spanned from farm work to shirt factory worker and retirement from John Oster.  In addition to her work she was a homemaker, having biscuits on the table every morning before school and work.  She was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ in Warren County and most recently faithfully attended worship service at Life Care every Sunday morning.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Ralph Parker; daughter, Mary Ann Kaylor; son Paul Parker; brother, Grey Womack.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Allison and husband Ronald; grandchildren, Sylinia (Robert) Oakes, Amanda (Todd) Hudson, Jennifer (Erik) Peterson, Suzanne (Jason) Frakes, Brad Parker, and Jeremy (Emily) Parker; 11 great-grandchildren; and niece, Wanda Scott.

A graveside service was held Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Whorton Springs Cemetery in Smithville.  Roy Whited officiated.

Gary Newby, David Sneed, Rayburn Pedigo, Eddie Kirby, Carlton Jones and Jerry Hildreth served as pallbearers.

Hunter Funeral Home, Sparta, was in charge of the arrangements.
