Irene Cook Durso, age 95  of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee.  Irene was born in DeKalb County to Bob & Jessie Hale Cook. Mrs. Durso spent her married life raising her family in Bayonne, New Jersey before moving to Tallahassee in 2009.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Anthony Durso.

She is survived by her four children, Barb (Mike) Byrne of Pleasant Hill, MO, Vivian (Jim) Erickson of Tallahassee, FL, Liz Angerstein of Bayonne, NJ, and Mike (Carolyn) Durso of Tuckerton, NJ; one brother, Jack (Matilda) Cook of Alexandria; seven grandchildren, Amy (Mark) Fennewald, Eugene (Hayley) Delavega, Tracey (Chad) Hess, Kris (Fernando) Giachino, Kyle Durso, Jessica Angerstein, and Heather Angerstein; seven great-grandchildren, Afton and Zach Fennewald, Brayden Delavega, Peyton and Tanner Hess, Luke and Maya Giachino; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were handled privately in Tallahassee and a memorial will be held at a later date.
