Jack D. Underhill, age 84, of Alexandria passed away Monday at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro.
He was retired from DTC after 34 years and then worked with Anderson Funeral Home for 21 years and Close and Paschal Auction and Realty.
He was born in the Pea Ridge Community of Cannon County, a member of the Upper Helton Baptist Church in Alexandria and the Alexandria Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, S.V. Underhill and Cora Owen Patterson.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years Faye Underhill of Alexandria; children, Angie and Larry Ashford of Alexandria, Mark and Martha Underhill of Lebanon, and Edwin and Teresa Bogle of Alexandria; grandchildren, Casey and Joey Agee, Heather and Blake Satty, Dustin and Brittany Bogle, Bradley and Lauren Campbell, Lydia Ashford, and Austin and Angel Underhill; 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and sisters, Joyce and JT Crook and Pat and Barry Turner.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, November 22, 2023 in the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home. Jimmy Arms officiated and burial followed in Hillview Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Edwin Bogle, Mark Underhill, Austin Underhill, Dustin Bogle, Jeff Reynolds, Ron Paschal, Joey Agee, and James Underhill. Jeff McMillen served as honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations may be made to the DeKalb County Fairgrounds.
Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria, was in charge of the arrangements.
