Memorial services for Jerry Michael Henry, 61, of Smithville, were held Jan. 17 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Dan Gulley and Bro. Michael Hale officiated with interment following in Whorton Springs Cemetery.    
Mr. Henry passed away Jan. 12 at at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. He served in the U.S. Air Force and Vietnam. Mr. Henry was affiliated with the Church of Christ and worked at Federal Mogul.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Lela Ann Eldridge Henry; a brother, Jimmy Newton Henry; two sisters, Wilma Henry Cobb and Joyce Henry; and a mother-in-law, Mildred Reeder.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Henry, of Smithville; four children, Joel Henry, Nancy Swoape, Jeremy Henry and Josh Beckham, all of Smithville; grandchildren, Jerica, Kaytlyn, Jared and MaKenzey Henry, Emily and Hannah Swoape; three brothers, Bobby Henry and James Henry both of Sparta and Larry Henry  of Smithville; a sister, Deborah William of Sparta; and two special friends, Robert Melton and Richard Pollard.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
