Jimmy Walker, age 76, of Smithville passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at NHC in Smithville.

He was retired from Star Mfg and attended Covenant Baptist Church where he loved playing his guitar. He enjoyed walking, working with and picking his blueberries, and playing his guitar with his friends at the County Complex.

Mr. Walker was born on October 23, 1948 in Livingston to his parents, the late Odos and Illa Mae Walker.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Annie "Susie" Bain Walker; brother, Wayne (Linda) Walker; nieces, Lisa (Dewey) Peterson, Leann (Jason) Miller, Jennifer Ritter, Samantha (Billy) Phillips; brothers-in-law, Cleveland (Diane) Bain, Harold Bain, Earlie Bain; sisters-in-law, Helen Moore and Pauline Braswell; special nephews, Jimmy (Amanda) Bain, Clayton Moore and Hunter Moore. 

The funeral service was held at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Bro. Bobby Thomason and Bro. Darrell Gill officiated and burial followed in DeKalb Cemetery. 

Pallbearers were Jackie Norton, Brayden Walker, Danny Cowan, Jimmy Bain, Clayton Moore and John Cowell.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
