Funeral services for Joshua Tyler Davis, 25, of Sparta  (Johnsons Chapel) were held Dec. 30 at the Chapel of  Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Elmore Judd and Bro. Tim Judd officiated, with burial following at  Peeled Chestnut Cemetery.
Mr. Davis passed away Dec.28 at Highland Medical Center in Sparta.
He was affliated with Johnson's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Lee Davis; uncle, Bobby Rice, paternal grandparents, Leonna and Norman Davis.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy “Hammer” and Connie Davis; maternal grandparents, Bob and Ruth Rice; four uncles, Jack and Mary Davis, Kenneth and Shawn Rice, Terry Rice and Les and Regina Davis; one aunt, Tootsie Taylor all of Sparta; two nieces, Kylee Davis and Kyra Agee both of Smithville.
Pallbearers included; Dustin Rice, Daniel Rice, David Davis, Pete Davis, Jeremy Hutchings and Mathew Davis.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
