Matuszewski

Kathryn Ann Patterson Matuszewski, age 78, of Hendersonville and a native of DeKalb County, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018.

Kathryn was a Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader, enjoyed writing and wrote over 1,000 sonnets. She was a member of the Hendersonville First Baptist Church for over 40 years and devoted housewife and mother.

She was April 25, 1940 to the late Joe Robert and Juanita Maxwell Patterson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Duane Patterson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Rhonda (James) Calhoun of Hendersonville and Randall Matuszewski of Goodlettsville; two grandchildren, Haydn Michelle Calhoun and Elizabeth Nichole Matuszewski; two brothers, Mack Patterson of Springfield and Kim Patterson of Murfreesboro; one sister, Judy Bakken of Greenbrier.

Funeral service was conducted Saturday July 14, 2018 at the Hendersonville First Baptist Church Chapel with Bro. Ray Cleek officiating.  Burial followed in DeKalb.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
