Kathy Staley Olds age 64 of Smithville passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 at her residence.

She was born January 2, 1952 to her parents, the late Dale Staley and Wilma Ferrell Staley.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by 1 sister, Jan Higdon and 1 nephew, Jamie Higdon.

Kathy was a member of Buckner's Chapel United Methodist Church and was a nurse, paramedic and a photographer with Wal-Mart.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Tisha Vickers-Burns of Smithville; 2 grandchildren, Dylan Michael Jamison Burns and Hannah Dale Groshon; mother, Wilma Staley of Smithville; 1 brother, Tim (Debbie) Staley of Smithville; nieces, Mindy Versluis, Chynna Cade, Brittany Cade, Kesha Staley Bradford and Kiley Staley.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.

Bro. Michael Hale officiated with burial following in Bonham Cemetery. 

Pallbearers included; Kenneth Magness, Ryan Magness, Brandon Caldwell, Lawrence “Boogie” Bell, Mark Versluis, and Jerry Tramel.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
