Mr. Larry Gray Boss, 81, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Mr. Boss was born February 10, 1943 in Lafayette, Georgia, the son of late Pastor Clay Henry Boss and late Mary Lou Gray Boss. Mr. Boss also was preceded in death by brothers; Benny Boss and Jerry Wayne Boss.

Mr. Boss was a 1961 graduate of Forrest High School in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. He loved the Lord, his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and his dog Rambo. He was member of Alexandria First Baptist Church for 55 years and a deacon for 36 years. Mr. Boss retired from Bridgestone. Larry was a avid sport fans and his favorite teams were the Vanderbilt Commodores and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Larry loved to play Golf, and played anywhere he could.

Mr. Boss is survived by his spouse of 60 years Betty Catherine Boss of Alexandria, TN. Daughter; Katina (Ben) Barrett of Murfreesboro, TN. Son; Joey (Kimberly) Boss of Alexandria, TN. Grandchildren; Matthew Boss and Luke Boss of Alexandria; Alex Barrett and Hayden Barrett of Murfreesboro. Brother; Phil (Angie) Boss of Milton, TN. Sister-in-Law; Wanda Boss of Woodbury, TN. Niece; Jennifer Boss of Murfreesboro, TN. Nephews; Brian Boss of Watertown, Scotty Boss, Shelbyville, TN, and Jeff Boss of Woodbury, TN.

Funeral service was held at Alexandria First Baptist Church on Saturday, October 5, 2024 with Bro. Gary Rickman officiating. Interment followed in the Hillview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial be made to Alexandria First Baptist Church.

Avant Funeral Home, Alexandria, was in charge of the arrangement.
