Lawrence (Nub) Henley, 88, passed away peaceful on March 26, 2022.

Lawrence had a soft heart under his tough exterior and would give you the shirt off of his back. During his lifetime he helped many a soul who was less unfortunate than he. His passion was growing his garden, sharing the harvest, and selling his okra to the local grocery store. 

He was a DeKalb County native born October 16, 1932 to parents Charlie and Ruby Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Smith.

He is survived by his son David L. Henley; daughter in-law Carmen Henley; granddaughter Marina Varney; and grandson Gavin Henley.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
