Funeral services for Lewis Brown George, 87, of Nashville were held Nov. 11, at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Clayborn officiated with burialĀ  following at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
Mr. George passed away Nov. 8 at Alive Hospice Skyline.
He was a retired electical engineer at Nashville Electric Company, a Mason, Shriner and a member of Inglewood Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Billie Sue McDowell George; parents, Aubrey and Mattie Braswell George; grandson, Mathew George.
He is survived by three sons, Garri and Lois George of Indiana, William and Janice George of Mt. Juliet and Phillip and Susan George of Smithville; eight grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren; ex-wife, Phyllis Goodman of Franklin and several cousins also survive.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
