Loretta Bain, 76, passed away Sunday, July 29 at her son’s residence in Rydal, Ga. She was a long-time residence of DeKalb County.

She was a homemaker and was self-employed and a member of the Gospel Assembly Church.
She was born to her late parents Clarence and Lillian Hale Neal.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Bain; son, Gary Bain; two brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by four children, Dolores Taylor of Smithville, Kay Lawson of Smithville, Larry Bain of Georgia, and Denise Nichols of Lebanon; 10 grandchildren, Johnna Hale, Jeremy Taylor, Rocky Cantrell, Rachel Lynch, Olivia Taylor, Isaac Bain, Lena Nichols, Sierra Nichols, Hayden Lawson, and Adam Bain; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Sanders, Linda Knowles, Elaine McGuire; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service was conducted Thursday, Aug. 2 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with J.T. Padget officiating and burial following in the Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers included Rocky Cantrell, Jeremy Taylor, Bruce Neal, Charles Griffin, Dutch Lynch and James Tidwell.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
