Funeral services for Louise Goodwin, 74, of Smithville were held Jan. 20 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bros. Freddy Savage, Chris Long and Chris McMillen officiated with burial following at Dismal Cemetery.
Ms. Goodwin passed away Jan. 18 at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was a retired cook at DeKalb West School and affiliated with Faith Congregational Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Landon Goodwin; parents Delmer and Athalene Driver; a son Steve Landon Goodwin; and a granddaughter Candace Dodd.
Survivors include her daughter Kathy Ellis of Liberty; two granddaughters Natosha Reinhart and fiancé David Miller of Liberty and Rachel (Brandon) Haggard of Smithville; a great-granddaughter Autumn Reinhart of Liberty; four sisters Reba and Louis Fuson of Liberty, Telia Miller of Liberty, Marie (Joe) Johnson and Barbara (Roger) Davis, both of Smithville; two brothers Alfred Driver of Kentucky and Joe (Kathy) Driver of Dowelltown.
Pallbearers included Layne and Terry Fuson, Shannon Estes, Dustin Johnson and John and Joe Driver.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
