Martha Eloise Gothard, 82, of Cookeville and a native of Smithville, passed away Thursday evening, July 5 at NHC HealthCare in Cookeville. 
Eloise was a homemaker and a member of the Smithville First Baptist Church.

She was born Jan. 29, 1936 to her parents, William Sanford and Geneva Raines Holcomb. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Holcomb. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Randy Gothard of Silver Point, Martha Jane Partridge of Lebanon and Sarah Gothard Smith of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Brittany Kuykendall, Adam Gothard, Matthew Beard, John Partridge, Luke Partridge and Abby Smith; five great-grandchildren, Samuel Karl and Christina Kuykendall, Grant Partridge, Maverick and Hampton Smith; sister, Imogene Johnston of Las Vegas; aunt, Katherine Hudson of Whitwell. 

Funeral service was conducted Monday, July 9, 2018 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial following in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Adam Gothard, Matthew Beard, John Partridge, Luke Partridge, Brian Partridge and Andrew Kuykendall.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
