A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Louise Griffin, 91, of Fairborn, Ohio and formerly of Portsmouth, Ohio was held Feb. 20 at Mary Catholic Church in Portsmouth, Ohio. Recitation of the Rosary was held Monday at Melcher Funeral Home. Rev. Adam Streitenberger officiated with burial following at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Ms. Griffin passed away Feb. 15 at Dayspring HealthCare Center in Fairborn, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Dena Zappa Francia; daughter Mary Lou Cotterel; and eight brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include her son Joseph Griffin of Fairborn, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister of Livonia, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Ms. Griffin was also survived locally by granddaughter Glenda (Terry) Hall of Dowelltown and great-grandchildren Gage Estes and Molly Hall, both of Dowelltown.
Melcher Funeral Home, Fairborn, Ohio, was in charge of the arrangements.
