Maureen Cantrell, age 91, of Smithville, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022. 

 Ms. Maureen was a member of Mt. Hope The Baptist Church and she was a Homemaker.

 She was born October 16, 1930, to her parents, the late Walter and Ella Adcock.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Cantrell, Jr., in April 2008; son Rickey Lynn Cantrell; sister: Marie West. 

 She is survived by sons, Lonnie Cantrell and Ronnie (Elaine) Cantrell both of Smithville; grandchildren, Brent (Melissa) Cantrell of Cookeville, Barry (Bethany) Cantrell of McMinnville; step-grandson, Taylor Miller of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Evie, Graham, and Ollie Cantrell; step great-grandson, Jackson Greer.

 Graveside service and interment was held Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at New Union Cemetery with Bro. Dwight Knowles officiating.

 DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
