Mr. Cordell "Corky" Jackson Britt II, age 63, passed away on Monday evening, December 4, 2023, at his residence.

He was the retired owner of Corky's Gun Shop. He loved hunting and the great outdoors. Everyone that knew him loved him. He loved his family and friends. 

He was born on October 2, 1960 in Nashville. His parents were Cordell and& Iva Harriet Britt who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Gary, Wayne and Ricky Britt and two sisters, Belinda Harness and Sandy Greer. 

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Mary Jo Tatrow Britt; two daughters, Sommer (Tony) Luna of Smithville, and Valerie (Wesley) Slager of Alexandria; one son, Eli Porterfield of Dowelltown; three grandchildren, Kyra (Kota) Goodwin, Kolton and Kolby Slager all of Alexandria; two great-grandchildren, Jax and Raelynn Goodwin; several nieces and nephew also survive. 

Funeral service was held at on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Donnie Kelly officiated. Mr. Britt was then cremated per his request. 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
