Mr. Odis Dan Close, age 85, of McMinnville died Friday, July 10, 2020, at Gulf Breeze Hospital in Gulf Breeze, FL.

He worked at Carrier Air Conditioning, was a farmer, and attended Gath Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by parents Elmer Felix and Alta Lee Page Close; wife, Marguerite Cope Close; and siblings Barbie Julia Spencer, Opal Lee Cantrell, Frances Edward Close, Mary Brown Demali, Drewsie Ellen Myers, Josephine Kania, and James Hoyte Close.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Barry (Gwen) Close; granddaughter, Kalli Close; grandsons, Dan (Kelly) Close and Nick Close; great-granddaughter, River; siblings, Doris Coggins Estes, Thomas Paul Close, and Marjorie Ann Patterson. Nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.

Graveside service and interment was held Sunday, July 19, 2020, at DeKalb Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Smithville. Elder Kenneth Brown officiated.

McMinnville Funeral Home, McMinnville, was in charge of arrangements.
