Ms. Margaret Ann Caldwell Cantrell, age 80 of Smithville passed away early Friday morning, April 8, 2022 at NHC of Smithville. 

 

She was a retired School Bus Driver and was of the Pentecostal faith.

 

Ms. Cantrell was born on November 4, 1941 in Smithville to her parents, the late Herman and Vera Summers Caldwell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, Doyce Cantrell, son, Ricky David Cantrell, daughter, Tammy Marlene Cantrell Young; five brothers, Wayne, Jerry, Cordell, Joe and Eldridge Caldwell; two sisters, Frances Page and Katie Ruth Shook.

 

Survivors include a son, Mike Cantrell of Missouri and a daughter, Rosanna (Jim) McCurry of Michigan; seven grandchildren, Brent (Lacy) Arnold of Smithville,  Tammy Lowhorn of Crossville,  John Cantrell of Smithville,  Josh McCurry of Michigan, Sarah Pierik of Michigan, Jessica Jones of Murfreesboro, and Eric Hill of Woodbury;  13 great grandchildren;  special friend, Jim Weller of Rock Island. 

 

Funeral service was held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Shannon Cantrell and Pastor Chuck Catafu officiated and internment followed at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

 

Eric Hill, Devin Hill, Justin Hill, Josh McCurry, Jacob Cantrell and Eddie Caldwell served as pallbearers.

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
