Armstrong

Nancy Armstrong, age 67, of Walker Creek Road passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her residence. She was an Optician and a member of the Intercontinental Church of God and a devout reader of her Bible.

Armstrong graduated from Eau Gallie High School in Eau Gallie, FL in 1968. She was among the founding class of Flager College in St. Augustine, FL. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in social studies in 1972. She then attended Hillsbourgh Community College and earned her certification as a licensed Optician. She had a successful business, Treasure Coast Optician in Vero Beach, FL for over 18 years. In 1988 she moved to Tennessee owning and riding several horses. Years later she built her dream house on 14 acres.

Funeral service was held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Wayne Graves officiated.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Armstrong and June Powell.

She is survived by sons, Curtis Fox and Thomas and Tara Fox; grandchildren, Curtis Fox, II and Zara Fox and a brother, Mayor Bennett Armstrong.

Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria, was in charge of the arrangements.
