Orgie Lee “O.L.” Stanley, 79, of Smithville passed away Thursday morning August 2, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Smithville. 

He was born March 22, 1939 to his parents the late Robert and Sarah Ferrell Stanley.  He was a construction worker and Christian.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son Larry Stanley and several brothers and sisters. 

Survivors include son Donnie (Kathy) Stanley of Sparta; daughters, Brenda (Jeff) Taylor, Sandy Atnip, both of Smithville; grandchildren, Donnie Stanley, Jr., Tonyia Sparks, Colleen Clary, Matt Stanley, Katrena Miller, Karen France, David Taylor, Ricky Atnip Jr., Brandon Atnip, Christopher Atnip; sisters, Barbara Ann Tucker of Manchester, Josephine Butcher of McMinnville, Etta Mae Williams of Woodbury; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; caregiver, Linda Sutton; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service was held Saturday, Aug. 4 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Mike Clayborn and Michael Hale officiating. Burial followed in DeKalb Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Donnie Stanley, Jr, Matt Stanley, David Taylor, Ricky Atnip, Jr, Brandon Atnip, Christopher Atnip and Preston Taylor.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel of Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
