Orville Barham Sorrell, III. (Barney), age 62 of Panama City Beach, FL, formerly of Cookeville, passed away February 15, 2022.

Barney was born August 15, 1959 in Sparta to Orville (OB) Sorrell Jr. and Mildred Williams Sorrell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Kibby Lynn Sorrell and Dock and Dovie Williams.

Survivors include wife, Linda Hittson Sorrell of Panama City Beach, FL; sons, Travis Sorrell (Stephanie) of Colorado Springs, CO and Matthew Sorrell of Murfreesboro; brother, David Sorrell (Kellie) of Sparta; granddaughter, Sophia Sorrell.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Melissa M. Roysdon officiating. The family will welcome friends on Thursday from 2:30 PM until time of the services at the funeral home.

Oaklawn Funeral Home, Sparta, is in charge of the arrangements.
