Funeral service was held for Ova Norene Anderson, age 94, of Sparta, Dec. 28 at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Peeled Chestnut Cemetery.

Ova passed away Dec. 26 at NHC Cookeville. She was a retired telephone company employee, a member of Mothers of Killed Servicemen and member of Old Zion Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brian and Louella Bond Summers; husband, Claude Anderson; three sons, Ronnie Reeder, Jerry Anderson and Dennis Reeder; and three brothers, Jessie Lee Summers, Noel Summers and Wilson Summers.

Survivors include two grandsons, Jason Reeder and Dewaine Winnett of Sparta; two sisters, Jeanette Smithson and Lois Randall of Smithville; brother, Mac Redmon of Smithville; great niece, Darlene Maydon; and several cousins also survive.

Serving as pallbearers included Terry Reeder, Forrest Reeder, Chris Smithson, Noah Clark, Dylan Reeder, Peyton Reeder and Dwayne Winnett.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
