Pamela Sue Cook Young, age 63, of Smithville passed away at her residence on Sunday September 18, 2022.

 

Ms. Young was a member of Whorton Springs Baptist Church and a CNA.

 

She was born December 13,1958 to her parents the late Roy Evins and Hazel Barrett Cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Paul Young; paternal grandparents, Yank Evins and Lottie Cook; maternal grandparents, Joe and Clemmie Barrett; brothers, Carl Thomas "Puggy" Cook and Ronnie Cook.

 

She is survived by sisters, Dorothy George Wooden of Alexandria, and Lisa Rhody of Smithville; brother, Joe (Brenda) Cook of Watertown; niece, Whitley (Dale) Stauffacher and their children, Sydney, Silas, Sawyer Pardo, Dylan, Rowan, and Asa Stauffacher of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive; special friend, Kathy Adcock (Steve) Merz.

 

Funeral service was held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiated and burial to follow in Salem Cemetery.

 

Serving as pallbearers were Mike Howse, Ricky Barrett, Ernie Cook, Jamie Anderson, Kevin Cook, and Derek Young.

 

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
