Paul McKinley Neal, age 82, of Liberty passed away Tuesday February 8, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
He worked at Jersey Farm Milk Service for 24 years, also worked at Athalon Sports and TN Wholesale Drugs, he was a former Alderman for Liberty and a member of Salem Baptist Church.
He was born October 5, 1939 to his parents, the late Rastis and Tinnie Lee Neal.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by sisters, Billie (Houston) Herman, Mary (James) Hale, Myrtle Neal; sister-in-law, Linda Pursell.
Mr. Paul is survived by his wife of 63 years Jean Neal of Liberty; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dale (Marie) Malone of Mt. Juliet, J.T. (Peggy) Pursell of Liberty, Dale Pursell of Liberty; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service was held Friday, February 11, 2022, at Salem Baptist Church with Bros. Don Mathis, Jason Lohorn and Wilson Williams officiating and burial followed in the Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Harold Herman, Randy Hale, Brice Pursell, Casey Malone, Christopher Pursell, Derek Johnson, Don Kennedy, and Glyn Taylor.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
