Randall Lee "Rooster" Stamps, age 58, of Smithville passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Saint Thomas DeKalb Hospital.
He was born June 7, 1963 in Crossville. He was the son of Edith Faye Harbison Stamps and the late Dean Stamps Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Ethel Stamps and Ulysses and Mary Harbison.
Rooster loved Tennessee football, spending time with his family and loving wife, Southern Gospel music, and taking his mother her coffee every morning. He was a member of Smithville First Free Will Baptist Church, and he loved his church and loved the Lord.
Survivors include his wife, Dewana Stamps; mother, Edith Faye Stamps of Sparta; brothers, Jr. Stamps (Charlotte) of Cookeville, TN and Tony Stamps (Michelle) of Rock Island; Father and Mother-in-Law- Bethel and Linda Golden of Smithville; and Brother-in-Law- Kernnie Golden of Smithville. Several nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and church family also survive.
A memorial services will be held at 3PM on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Smithville First Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Andy Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Young Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 9AM until time of the services at the church.
