Reba Lonell Atnip

Reba Lonell Atnip, age 83 of Smithville passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at NHC Healthcare of Smithville.

 

She was a retired factory worker and a member of the Peoples Missionary Baptist Church.

 

Ms. Atnip was born on November 4, 1937 in Cookeville to her parents, the late Laddie and Mertie Bohanan Anderson. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Roscoe Atnip; two sons, Randy Atnip and Eddie Atnip; three brothers, Fowler, MJ and Gene Atnip; two sisters, Lucille Gilreath and Christine Anderson.

 

Funeral service was held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Larry Self and Bro. Royce Curtis officiated and interment followed at Taylor Cemetery.

 

Survivors include four daughters, Lou Dean Murphy, Rose Atnip and Mary Roller all of Smithville and Rachel Atnip (Aaron Ponder) of Dowelltown; six sons, R.J. (Suzi) Atnip of Murfreesboro, Jerry (Betty) Atnip, Ricky (Ally) Atnip, Teddy (Lori) Atnip, Freddy (Vickey) Atnip, Michael (Amy) Atnip all of Smithville; one sister, Rozell Bohanon of Nashville; twenty three grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.

 

Pallbearers included Corey Atnip, Cody Atnip, Peyton Atnip, Charlie Atnip, Lance Mabe, Brian Atnip, Rick Atnip and Ronnie Bandy.

 

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
