Funeral services for Robert Lloyd Stanley, 81, of Smithville, were held Jan. 4 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Michael Hale officiated with burial following in Hale Cemetery.    
Mr. Stanley passed away Jan. 1 at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville. He was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church and a retired construction worker.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lloyd Sr. and Nancy Ann Thomas Stanley; first wife, Myrtle Pedigo Stanley; second wife, Helen Stanley; a step-son, Darrell Petty; brothers, Claude, Hobert and Lenzy Stanley; and a sister, Lucille Tidwell.
Survivors include his three daughters, Kathy Darlene Vanatta and Mark Young, all of Smithville, Donna and Jerry Byrd of Dowelltown, and Lori Lindsey of Sevierville; step-children, Deborah Ferrell, Randall Petty, David Petty; grandchildren, Crystal and Michael Moore, both of Smithville, Barbara Strickland and Dristin and Von Franklin IV, all of Woodbury, Aydan Bean of Dowelltown; brother, Billy Stanley of Nashville; sisters, Wilma Bilbrey of Nashville and Dean King of Smithville; special niece, Elaine Presley-Brooks of Brush Creek; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included Mark Young, Justin Moore, Von Franklin III, Cody Strickland, Bobby Mingle, Kenneth Stanley and Nathan Moore.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
