Ruth Ann Lawson, age 64, of Smithville passed away Saturday morning June 26, 2021 at her residence. 

 She was born October 11, 1956 to her parents, the late Hobert and Betty Tittle Linnear.

 Ms. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. 

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Lawson; brother, Hobert Linnear, Jr.; and aunt, Ada Ruth "Bug" Lanier. 

 Survivors include her husband of 48yrs. Bro. Charlie Lawson of Smithville; children, Diane (Shonnie) Sanders of Smithville, Amy Lawson (Craig) of Smithville, Mark (Brandy) Lawson of McMinnville, Virginia (Chad) Carrier of Smithville; grandchildren, Mordecai, Elisabeth, Isaac, John, Molly, Emily, Travis, Trevor, Kalli, Clark, Austin, Naomi, Traven, Makenzie, & Kobe; nine great-grandchildren and two special friends, Sister Peanut and Sister Sally.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

 Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Charlie Lawson and Shonnie Sanders officiating. Burial followed in the Jennings Cemetery in Statesville. 

 Pallbearers included Austin Lawson, Isaac Sanders, John Lawson, Travis Carrier, Colby Brand, and Traven Lawson.

 DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
