Shirley Marie Hale, 71, of Alexandria passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024 at her daughter’s home.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy Bain and Esta Mai Anderson; husband, James E. Hale; Son, Jamie Carl Hale; brothers, Jerry Bain, Turney Bain, and Buddy Bain, Jr.; and sisters, Henrietta Estes, Rachel Taylor and Caroline Braswell.

She is survived by her daughter Glenda and Jeff Curtis of Alexandria. Granddaughter, Savannah and Jonathan French of Alexandria. A brother, David Carl and Sandra Bain. Several great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends survive.

Funeral service was held Sunday, March 31, 2024 in the Chapel of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Wilson Williams officiated and burial followed in the Hale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Anderson Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Anderson Funeral Home, Alexandria, was in charge of the arrangements.
