Tammie Denise Geoghegan, age 60, of Smithville passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. 

She attended Allen's Chapel Church and was a caregiver. 

She was born December 12, 1963, to her parents, Elsie Hale Miller and the late Bobby Miller.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Cecil and Lela Pearl Hale and Odis and Laura Miller; and aunt, Macon Hale. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, David Geoghegan of Smithville; children, Jennifer (Brian) Dunn and Jeffery (Amanda) Carter, Jr. both of Smithville; grandchildren, Tyler Dunn, Patyn Carter and Wyatt Carter; mother, Elsie Miller of Smithville; sisters, Carolyn Miller, Lisa Andrews, Tabby Wann and Misty Lassiter all of Smithville and brother, Billy Miller of Smithville; and several nieces and nephews that she adored. 

Funeral service was held Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial followed in Banks Cemetery. 

In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, in memory of Tammie. 

Pallbearers included Brian Dunn, Tyler Dunn, Wyatt Dunn, Stephan Carter, David Geoghegan, Billy Miller, and Jeff Carter.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
