Terry Wayne Owens, age 64 of Smithville, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. He was a mechanic with the DeKalb County Garage.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Owens.

Survivors include two children, Tyrone Owens and Michael Chad and Stephanie Owens; parents, James Calvin Owens and Peggy Ann Martin Owens; five grandchildren, Tevin Owens, Chelsi Hollingsworth, Tyra and Tanisha Owens, and Arraya Taylor all of Smithville; fiance Kathy Richards of Smithville; three step-children, Jayden, Aiden and Raedyn of Smithville; and two nephews, Andre Owens of Smithville and Darry Owens of Knoxville. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

The family chose direct cremation.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
