Virginia Kathleen (Kathy) Bain, age 66, of Smithville passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at her residence.

She was a member of Allen’s Chapel United Methodist Church and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Smithville NHC.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Headie Belle Johnson; a brother, Ronnie Johnson; and a step-daughter, Ann Colwell.

Survivors include her husband, J. B. Bain; daughters, Wanda (David) Luna and Pam (David) Dawson; son, Roger (Vergie) Redmon; step-sons, Dennie Keith and Jerry (Pam) Redmon; sister-in-law, Jeanie Johnson; grandchildren, Heather Luna, Hollie Luna, Amanda McMinn, Cory Dawson, Brandi (Matthew) Cantrell, Brittany Redmon, Chase (Morgan) Keith, Chasity (A.J.) Dodder, Haley Keith, Jerry Redmon, Jr., Jason Keith, Dennie Keith, Jr., Shelbie Keith, Chad (Alecia) Colwell, Timmy (Debora) Colwell, Tracy Colwell, and Terra (Patrick) Cunningham. Several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Bobby Thomason officiated with burial following in DeKalb Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were A.J. Bain, R.J. Bain, Matt Cantrell, Dustin Cox, Cory Dawson, Joshua Leichtfuss, Angel Philley and Roger Redmon.

Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
