Popejoy

William Sterling "Bill" Popejoy, Jr., age 55, of Smithville passed away Friday evening, June 1, 2018 in Murfreesboro form injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

He was born May 21, 1963 to his parents, William S. and Ruth Moyers Popejoy.

He was preceded in death his sister, Melody Escue.

Bill was a construction worker.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Popejoy of Smyrna; sister, Lori (Gary) Anderson of Liberty; nephews, Gary Anderson, Jr. and Michael Anderson; companion, Valerie Laboe of Smithville; special extended family, Jason (Tosha) Stembridge and children, Brice and Cali Stembridge.

Graveside services and interment was held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Anderson Cemetery in the Cottage Home Community of Liberty with Bro. Bernard Houk officiating.

DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, was in charge of the arrangements.
