William Paul Griffith, age 94, passed away Aug. 27. William Paul, a native of DeKalb County, moved to Michigan in 1952. He was preceded in death by parents Dawson Reed and Fannie Harrison Griffith and brother Ralph Lee Griffith. He is the beloved husband of Mary Oakley Griffith. Dear father to Gwen(William) Coffie. Grandfather to Colleen (Joseph) Gennero, Robert (Carrie) Coffie, Patrick (Sara) Coffie. Great-grandfather to Jordon Formiller, Lindsey Formiller, Madison Coffie, Laura Coffie, Olivia Coffie, Abagail Coffie and William Coffie.
 William was a retiree of the Ford Motor Company and a WWII veteran. He spent his time as a amateur photographer, was a charter member of Bethany Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening and boating.
His funeral was Friday, August 30, 2013 at Kaul Funeral Home, Clinton Township, Michigan.
